Yadh ben Achour re -elected in the Human Rights Committee at the UN

The States Parties at the International Pact on Civil and Political Rights have elected (or re -elected) this morning, this morning, for four years nine members of the Human Rights Committee, replacing those whose mandate expires on December 31, 2014. Among them, Figure Mr. Yadh Ben Achour who was re -elected, announced a UN press release.

Composed of 18 independent experts, the Human Rights Committee is responsible for verifying whether the States Parties pay the obligations for the protection of human rights as defined by the international pact relating to civil and political rights.

With the renewal of Ben Achour, Tunisia begins its 5th successive term within this committee.
