A Wikileaks message dating from February 17, 2009 and entitled “The Grenouille man who did not know how to swim” tells the story of a Libyan registered with a program of training and destruction of sub -mail explosives in Rome.
The text is as follows: “After several days of instructions in class, the candidates were taken to the swimming pool for their first practical session in the water. The instructor asked students to put on their masks and regulators and enter the deep part of the pool. After a few minutes, the Libyan had still not entered the water.
The instructor helped the student put his mask and regulator and pushed him into the water. The Libyan student picked up, spat his regulator and swallowed a large amount of water.
After having come out of the swimming pool and having pumped the water out of its lungs, the Italians learned that the Libyan student could not swim and was neither a member of the Libyan GPC for public security nor a member of any Libyan government entity. »»
