When Tunisia and Algeria become African Ecstasy champions

To see what circulates these days, there would be almost more ecstasy than dates between Tunis and Algiers. In less than ten days, Tunis and Algiers exploded the counters of the anti -crop control, each going there from their record seizure – and their communication stroke.

On the Tunisia side, the National Guard opened the ball from April 19, 2025: in Nabeul, homeland of the jasmine and now colored cache, it announced that it has boxed more than a million Ecstasy tablets, for a value exceeding 40 million dinars (almost 12 million euros).
An ant work carried out with discreet information, patient spinning and well -tied wire.

Race assessment: Several arrests, a beautiful collection of luxury cars seized – because we do not transport cam in an old popular car, all the same – and a nice handful of currencies to garnish the seals.

No question for Algeria to let the pawn downs. This Monday, April 28, 2025, Algerian police typed even stronger: a million six hundred and fifty thousand ecstasy tablets seized in the port of Mostaganem, in a truck straight from the French port of Marseille. With the key, nine alleged on-board Narco-Voyageurs, some luxury cars recovered, and four billion dinars of pure ecstasy (more than 26 million euros) put out of circuit. Just that. Enough to make the whole Sahel dance for two months.

“A historic socket,” said the police, not proud to have dismantled an international network juggling between Morocco and France. The case, it smells good of Hollywood scenarios: camouflaged cargo, money laundering in Gogo, suspects arrested on several wilayas … all sprinkled with a suspense zest worthy of an episode of Narcos: couscous version.

At this rate, between massive sockets and muscular, Tunisian and Algerian speeches could soon run for the very coveted title of “African champions of the fight against ecstasy” – while arguing, behind the scenes, the trophy of the biggest confiscated stock.
