As part of the efforts to combat drug trafficking throughout the national territory, the Sfax Customs Guardian Brigade, with the support and coordination of the brigades of Skhira and Regueb, reached, following intelligence work and during a surveillance and control patrol, to intercept a large amount of cocaine.
These are 39 cocaine plates, a total weight of 42.929 kg (packaging included), hidden carefully on a truck circulating on the highway at Skhira. The value of the goods entered is estimated at more than 12.8 million Tunisian dinars.
A seizure report was established and, after consulting the prosecution, the file was entrusted to the specialized security services to continue the survey and the investigations.
