Distinguished Hispanizing, translator and university teacher, Mona Ezzine Dougaz died yesterday Thursday July 3, 2025.

Spanish teacher, she was very appreciated by her students and colleagues. Her formidable capacity for simultaneous translation made her an asset much sought after by the organizers of scientific conferences and ministerial meetings.

Mastering several languages ​​to perfection, Mona Ezzine Dougaz counted among the most distinguished Hispanizing in Tunisia. Her mastery of the Spanish language in her most subtle nuances made her an admired model.

Yesterday, as soon as his death was announced by the family, tributes flocked from everywhere. From the Spanish Embassy to the Argentina Embassy via the Cervantes Institute, the press releases were imbued with emotion, respect and recognition. Likewise, from the Tunisian University, the tributes were numerous.

Woman of heart, Mona Ezzine Dougaz was also the muse and the first support of her son, the tennis player Aziz Dougaz whose sporting journey with persistence. Still present by her side, she was vigilant, decided and loving.

Burial will take place today, Friday July 4 at 2 p.m., at the Gammarth cemetery.
