Who in the community of researchers, journalists and documentalists did not know Yvonne Le Blaye? Generosity and legendary availability, this former director of the University Library of the Carthage Study Center, rue Garibaldi in the heart of Tunis, has just died at the age of 95.

Director of the Carthage Study Center from 1963 to 2006, the Blaye retired to France in 2006, after a long career in the service of knowledge, sharing and culture. Note that Yvonne the Blaye was an officer of the order of cultural merit of the Tunisian Republic.
The managers of the Carthage Study Center will also pay him a double tribute with a meeting of memory, Saturday June 6 at 3 p.m. at the Library and a Mass, Monday June 8 at 6.30 p.m., in the Jeanne d’Arc church.
