The Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) unveiled, last Friday, the list of winners of the 9th edition of its “ATB Challenge” competition for the year 2014.

Handled for 9 years in a unique initiative aimed at encouraging and promoting creativity and innovation among young people, the ATB Challenge competition has today become a real competitive tradition expected by young people aged 18 to 35.

The 2014 session of the competition recorded a record compared to previous sessions both in number of registrants (439) as in number of work submitted (144). And it was during a gala dinner that the award ceremony, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Fédé Ben Tanfous, Director General of ATB, rewarded young innovators in the three fields of the event: Arts & Digital Culture, Technological Management & Entrepreneurial Initiative, Sciences & Technologies.

The animation of the evening was enriched by the participation of the young violinist prodigy, Anas Romdhani, which the ATB has continued to support since its studies at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in London until its current course at the no less prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama also in the British capital.

True to its slogan “Culture has its bank”, ATB took advantage of this opportunity to introduce a young talented 12 -year -old violinist, Ghofrane Miladi.

The objective of the organization of the ATB Challenge competition is to encourage, promote creativity and reward young Tunisians (local residents or abroad), between 18 and 35 years old, carrying an original project in the areas indicated.

As for the jury, it is made up of professionals in the world of art, culture, science and technology, economics and management.

The selection of projects was made on the basis of multiple meetings which were held from April 6, 2015 by an independent national jury within the framework of an ad-hoc committee and a certain number of criteria relating in particular to the artistic quality of the work, its originality, its scientific and/or technical relevance, the relevance and the feasibility of the business project as well as the quality of the presentation of the project.

Three nominees were appointed in each category, rewarded for the first by a price of 10,000 DT and for the following two by an encouragement price of 1000 DT.
