A bus carrying workers from a factory overthrew on Tuesday to Wednesday in Mateur, in the governorate of Bizerte. The accident made several injured, all in a stable state, according to the medical authorities.
According to initial information, the private bus, which ensured the daily transport of workers, lost control before overthrowing. The scene caused panic among the passengers: several light wounded and fainting was recorded, but no death was reported.
The civil protection units, supported by ambulances, intervened immediately to evacuate the passengers. All the injured were transferred to the Mateur Hospital where they received first aid. The doctors confirmed that their condition was stable and that no serious complication had been noted.
An investigation was opened to identify the precise reasons for this overthrow. The first hypotheses relate to a loss of vehicle control.
