As if a veiled woman cannot commit such an act. Yet it is today’s buzz!
Today, the children’s hospital of Bab SĂąadoun was the scene of a kidnapping: that of a little girl, barely 40 days old, hospitalized since last Sunday.
According to Hichem Meddeb, the spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior interviewed by Mosaic FM, the Susepect is a woman, in her forties, carrying a brown scarf, and who presented herself as the aunt of the little baby.
This information was taken up differently from one media to another. Some have titled that the suspect was veiled, others that she wore a niqab! As if the fact that the author of this crime was veiled transformed this act into something even more abominable.
The kidnapping of babies or newborns is a crime perpetrated quite often following a psychological problem that pushes certain women of a certain age, unable to have children, to do so.
For some, the scarf carried by the woman in question would be mainly used to better camouflage her identity and so that possible witnesses do not recognize her.
This woman is currently wanted, especially around Bab SaĂądoun.
