Paris: two Tunisians arrested with € 10 million of jewelry hidden in their clothes

Saturday, August 30, 2025, French police arrested two Tunisian nationals, including a minor, at the Gare de Lyon in Paris, their descent from a TGV from Lyon. A spectacular discovery marked this intervention: Almost 10 million euros in luxury jewelry were hidden in their underwear and luggage.

An extraordinary seizure

During a routine check, the agents identified several high -value pieces of jewelry. A rolex watch, earrings estimated at two million euros, a one million ring and a necklace valued at five million were found, some hidden in a briefs or a sock. Luggage also contained a tweezertool frequently used in burglaries.

According to the authorities, these elements suggest that suspects could be linked to a Organized luxury flight networkalthough the investigation must still confirm the extent of their involvement.

Survey entrusted to the BRB

The case was immediately transmitted to the Brigade of repression of banditry (BRB)specialized in high -value crimes. The Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation to concealment of organized gang flightsprocedure which will determine any accomplices and the exact provenance of the jewelry.

The two individuals are known to the police, but their identity precisely and their length of stay in France have not been disclosed. The minor, whose age has not been specified, will be processed according to the procedures adapted to his situation.
