The influencer Mariem Dabbagh, who appeared this Friday, December 29, before the criminal chamber with the Tunis court of appeal, regained her freedom, according to Mosaique FM.
According to Bilel Tazni, his lawyer, the court of appeal decided to lower the conviction, at first instance, from four months by Mariem Debbagh, in one month. However, since she has already spent this period in detention since her arrest, on November 20, she was therefore released.
This case had opposed Mariem Dabbegh to another influencer, Hanen Elleuch. The latter had filed a complaint against the first, leading to her arrest, but had confined her complaint later.
However, the prosecution had decided to keep her in detention after hearing it as part of the complaint against her by Hanen Elleuch for “slander and defamation”.
