Incompatible but true – arrest of a bearded man and a niquabé for prostitution

The information announced yesterday, at the end of the evening, on the waves of Shems FM was not surprising for a large number of citizens for whom the habit does not make the monk. It was, however, shocking for those who naively think that behind the beard stands a healthy spirit and under the niqab hides an angelic being.

The information in question concerns the arrest in a hotel in Hammamet of a bearded man and a woman dressed in a niqab in the act of prostitution. Naturally this information can only arouse comments and reactions of all kinds due to the quality of the parties involved. The latter supposed to give lessons on the moral virtues and the conformity of behaviors to the precepts of Islam, and show chastity as prescribed religion, cannot descend so low.

But without doing too many illusions on the exemplarity of the behaviors of those who have erected as temple guards, the reported fact confirms that several people have chosen the Islamist look to be able to fault with impunity and allow themselves certain differences.

Worse still! Some of them find in religion as perceived according to their own interpretation, pretexts and alibis to commit packages like drug trafficking, pedophilia and cohabitation that has made many victims in student circles.

To return to the news, the Islamists who consider that belonging to their movement and their culture is an immunization against the temptations prohibited by religion can invent a thousand and one stories to question it. They can accuse the authorities of having set up a scenario to justify the arrest or accuse people involved in this case of false Islamists.

In the first hypothesis, one wonders what they did together in the same hotel room at 5 am knowing that by virtue of fundamentalist culture the man and the woman must avoid isolate himself so as not to give in to the temptation of prohibited relations.

In the second hypothesis, this fact once again brings, the proof that the beard and the niqab are only facades to hide a scandalous past, find its place in the new political cartography or indulge in reprehensible acts as is the case in this case.
