A hooded man armed with a Kalashnikov shot people on the beach of La Chebba! This is what the Dimaonline site reported last night. The information, which has been taken up by several electronic sites, currently achieves a buzz and only accentuates the feeling of insecurity in the country. According to the same site, among the four people targeted, three were able to flee in time while the fourth was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room, to Mahdia hospital. And the armed individual fled.
Contacted on this subject, Hichem Meddeb, the interior ministry spokesman, confirms that a man was injured in a firearm shot. However, he specifies that according to the first elements of the investigation, it would not be an automatic weapon or a Kalashnikov, but a hunting rifle.
He adds that according to the testimony of the people targeted in this incident which are three and not four people, that “yesterday at 8:15 pm, a man dressed in burnous and whose face was hidden by a hood, approached us (note. Three people) to ask us for a cigarette. An argument broke out followed by two shots: one on the leg of one of the men and the second finished on a car. ” The police were not informed of the incident until 2 am, specifies Hichem Meddeb, “enough to ask questions about the nature of the relationship of the three men and the armed individual”.
The version of the Ministry of the Interior is different from that mentioned by the Dimaonline site. So, Kalashnikov or hunting rifle?
