The story started when early this morning Facebook published on its “Facebook” account a photo of one of these employees wearing a Jewish Kippah in blue color where the Facebook logo is scored.
Under the photo we can read: “Happy Hanukkah! Here to Facebook, some of us to celebrate dressed a special kippah. Look at what others are saying about the Festival of Lights “.
What is for some an innocent wink of employees, is for others a claim of Judaism.
And a wind of madness immediately fell on it, with insults at all costs, accusing Facebook of being a company of pro-Israeli Jews …
Jews around the world celebrate Hanoucca these days, construction festival. Mark Zuckerberg, founder and executive director of Facebook being himself Jewish know that his network is adored by 500 million fans of all religions combined, and that wearing a Jewish Kippah outside his community is perceived as a provocative sign?
Will the other Facebook employees now have the right to celebrate their different religious traditions in the same way?
What is certain, for the moment, with more than 4,700 comments on the photo, Facebook only fits hatred between these fans.
On one of the comments, we can read: “Live Israel Eternity… .live Zionism…” (Long live Israel for eternity, long live Zionism).
