The Menzel Temime judicial police managed to dismantle a drug trafficking network led by three individuals, operating on a national scale. The operation took place over the weekend and is part of a series of raids aimed at dismantling illicit trafficking in several regions.
A targeted survey over three days
According to a security source, investigators worked for three days based on information provided by an individual linked to trafficking. These investigations made it possible to identify the suspects and organize a series of simultaneous searches.
The operations not only dismantled the main drug network, but also uncovered another cell involved in theft.
Summary of the operation
In total, 20 people were arrested, including the three main promoters of the network, originally from Menzel Temime and Kelibia, but operating throughout Tunisia.
Law enforcement officers seized large quantities of cocaine, ecstasy tablets and cannabis plates, highlighting the scale of the trafficking dismantled.
