Did the Salafists intend to cut their hand?!

In Jendouba, an 18 -year -old young man was transported to hospital, following a head trauma and a serious injury in hand, according to Mosaic FM.

Quickly, noise ran that Salafists applied Sharia law on the young man, accused of being the author of several flights, and cut her hand. This “news” has toured social networks and sown general panic among Internet users, as shown in tweets according to the announcement of the news. Internet users were frightened by the rise of violence among Salafists to the point of moving on to amputation as indicated in Sharia law.

However, Mosaic FM returned to information, on its site, some time after the first announcement, giving more details on what really happened. The thesis of the application of Sharia law seems much less plausible.

Questioned by private radio, the victim’s brother assures that what happened to his brother has nothing to do with thefts.

The attack would follow an altercation which opposed the group of Salafists to the victim. This altercation would have degenerated and the victim would have had a blow on the hand causing the rupture of an important nerve of this member. This is not the first time that this group of Salafists has tackled the young man. They have already violated him in the past, and even burned his uncle’s house, and this, still according to the brother’s statements.

The spokesman for the Interior Ministry said, for his part, that Mr. Laâreydh gave his instructions so that the attackers were arrested as soon as possible.
