The outbreak of this unusual case dates back a complaint against the president of the Correctional Chamber of Tunis and the Attorney General to the Ministry of Justice. The complainant accuses the last two of having pocketed the sum of 150 thousand dinars.
A former CEO was, in fact, sentenced to prison for a series of acts, including having insulted the fallen president, Ben Ali, for his bias in favor of his brother-in-law, Moncef Trabelsi. With the January 14 revolution, the trial was revised and the CEO was released.
The case did not stop at this stage. A complaint was therefore filed against the two above-mentioned magistrates, currently on the run, for not having respected their commitments.
The unusual in this case lies in the filing of a complaint by a person who offered a sum of money to magistrates in return for the release of an accused.
