A burglary case was quickly solved by the Berges du Lac judicial police brigade, after an individual targeted six companies located in Charguia 1, seizing important computer and audiovisual equipment.
According to authorities, the suspect broke into several premises, where he stole 12 laptops and several shooting cameras. The events took place at night, with a method of breaking doors and cabinets.
The investigation progressed thanks to the use of CCTV footage belonging to the affected and neighboring companies. The police were thus able to identify clues suggesting that an individual was trying to resell a batch of equipment corresponding to the stolen loot.
A trap was setallowing the suspect to be arrested as he attempted to transfer the devices. All stolen equipment was seized and returned.
The accused should be presented to justice for burglary and receiving stolen propertyin a case which recalls the importance of surveillance systems in the fight against burglaries.
