An atrocious crime shakes Cité Ettadhamen!

The popular district of Hay Ettadhamen is in shock following a crime on Thursday. Security units arrested a young man, accused of stabbing his own mother. The information was confirmed by a security source at Diwan FM.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect, already known to the police for his judicial history, would have admitted his gesture before the investigators. In the past, he would also have inflicted repeated violence on his mother, leaving the shadow of an old and painful family conflict.

The news sowed stupor in the vicinity, where the victim was described as a discreet and courageous woman, who in silence supported the drifts of her son. The announcement of his death caused a strong emotion in the street, between misunderstanding and anger.

On the orders of the public prosecutor at the Ariana court of first instance, the body was transported to the legal medicine services in order to determine the exact circumstances of the death. At the same time, an investigation was opened to light up the shadow areas surrounding this family drama.

Beyond this news item, this crime relaunches the debate on the evolution of crime in Tunisia. In recent years, the authorities have noticed an increase in affairs of family violence and homicides, often linked to social tensions, the precariousness and the consumption of narcotics. If the security forces multiply the prevention and repression campaigns, specialists insist on the need for substantive work: psychological supervision, support for vulnerable families and fight against the deep causes of delinquency.
