A tragic road accident cost an agricultural worker and was 27 injured this Thursday morning in the locality of Dar Essalem, under the Kef-Est delegation.
According to initial information provided by Moncef Houani, regional director of health at the TAP agency, the accident occurred following a collision between a light car and a van carrying a group of 28 agricultural workers going to the fields.
Civil protection services, supported by medical teams, quickly intervened to assist the victims. The majority of the injured were transferred to the KEF regional hospital.
The regional director said that the state of health of most of the injured is deemed stable, with the exception of four of them, which will require in -depth medical follow -up.
This accident relaunches the recurring debate on the conditions of transport of agricultural workers in Tunisia, often pointed out for their precariousness and their dangerousness.
