These are not the first attacks perpetrated in this city of Sicily. In the past, the inhabitants of Partinico have been able to attend real clashes between two families of the local mafia, the Vitale and the Giambrone-Nania. Since 2009, however, everything brought to believe that a balance had been reached but for a few days, attacks have taken over. And the Lo Monaco family, which would seem to be in the line of the mafia, has already been faced with three fires.
The Carabinieri hope that the two victims will testify. They are counting on their deposition to advance the investigation.
