The Islamic Education teacher who had immune by fire died this Thursday, November 28, 2024, succumbing to his serious burns.
Yesterday, the teacher had set fire to his body in his house in Chebba, in the governorate of Mahdia. He had been transferred to the Gauce Burnt and serious injuries in Ben Arous, where he made his last breath.
All the educational institutions of the Chebba delegation observed today a general strike in solidarity with the teacher, victim, according to Omar Nasr, secretary general of the secondary education union in Mahdia, of a harassment and intimidation campaign carried out by students and foreign individuals to the establishment, without the administration intervening.
He also indicated that a protest movement is scheduled for tomorrow, with an intensification of actions if the supervisory authorities do not react.
