The National Interurban Transport Company announced in a statement that a road accident occurred at dawn on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, involving bus No. 3137 ensuring the Djerba-Tunis route, at the entrance to the city of Enfidha.
According to first information, the causes of the accident is due to the collision of a heavy goods vehicle with the bus in question, causing the death of a passenger and injuring about 13 other passengers, including the bus driver, with four seriously affected people.
They were all transported to Sahloul hospital in Sousse for the necessary examinations, after the immediate intervention of health and civil protection agents on site to note the accident and determine the causes.
“The National Interurban Transport Society presents its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded. It also confirms that an investigation was opened to elucidate the circumstances of the accident, establish responsibilities and take the necessary legal measures, “it said.
