A real false rape?

Since its famous declarations on Tunisian national television, the Oussema Achouri affair continues to grow but certainly, this time, the public opinion is divided on the veracity of the facts. Tunisians have become so suspicious that many do not manage to believe that the young man’s rape confessions are true.

It all started with this appearance on the TV news at 8 pm of May 12, where Oussema admitted to having received money from certain Tunisian political parties in order to sow Zizania during the demonstrations in Habib Bourguiba. Fluted face, a relaxed air and even a joke at the end: “We received 20.30 tickets, what to eat … lacked more than the CNSS,” said Oussema. He answered the questions from the journalist without reluctant.

But it was the thunderclap when Al Jazira broadcast a report later depicting Oussema admitting to having been forced to make these confessions. But the worst remains to come. Collapsed, he admits to having been raped by a police officer at the police station to whom he had been led to make the so -called staging on Tunisian TV. And now the famous independent collective blog, nawaat.org, posts the medical report attesting to the assaults suffered by Oussema and the presence of medical signs of a rape that he would have undergone.

The twists and turns follow one another in a very bizarre way. Videos in which Oussema admitted to having been raped to flock to Facebook. Many started to doubt after these videos. Oussema looked serene, maybe even too serene for a person who has undergone such a great emotional shock. But it is last night that another twist changes the game to change when Slim Amou, Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, reports via his Twitter account, that it was he who took Oussema to the hospital so that he could get a certificate.

The Ministry of the Interior has just published “clarifications” today on its official Facebook page. The ministry expresses its astonishment in the face of the confessions of Achouri. He also explains that his re-arrest, yesterday, is the investigation of the accusations carried by Oussema seen on the video.
