Walid Ktila, the paralympic world champion, again shone by winning his third gold medal for Tunisia this Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the world para-athletics championships in Kobe, Japan, by dominating the 100m test in wheelchair (T34 category).

Walid Ktila, the paralympic world champion, again shone by winning his third gold medal for Tunisia this Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the world para-athletics championships in Kobe, Japan, by dominating the 100m test in wheelchair (T34 category).

With this gold medal, Walid Ktila, 39, allows Tunisia to hoist its total of nine medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze), including three golden charms, following the previous exploits of Yassine Guennichi with a weight launch (F36) and Raoua Tlili in the same specialty (F41).

Arrived late on the competitive scene, Walid Ktila was quick to mark the T34 category and dominated the world scene in recent years, making a flawless with four gold medals in the last three world championships, as well as Olympic medals, especially at the London 2012 Paralympic Games by winning gold over 100m and 200m.
