Arrested on October 26 for suspicions of financial corruption and being the subject of two deposit mandates, the president of the FTF sent an open letter to the President of the Kais Saied. He reoffends, today by publishing on his Facebook page a second open letter addressed to the Head of State.
The president of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF), Wadii Jary, is the subject of two deposit mandates. The first was issued against him on October 26, 2023 against the backdrop of corruption suspicions concerning the signing of a contract between the FTF and a former technical director.
Affaire for which Wadii Jary had been auditioned for the first time in El Gorjani on August 30, 2023 and had been maintained in a state of freedom, at that time.
However, the president of the FTF is also accused of “embezzlement of public funds made available to him, in relation to characteristics of his post”. The investigating judge issued a warrant for deposit against Wadi Jary, on November 28, as part of this case.
This case is related to a complaint filed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports against the President of the FTF, concerning funds of the African Football Confederation (CAF).
After the open letter addressed, yesterday to the President of the Republic, Wadii Jary published, on his Facebook page, a second letter addressed to Kais Saied. And as for the first, he first made a long presentation of his person, his success, his diplomas, his CV, etc.
In this second correspondence, he wonders why after all the known successes, some like the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche, put sticks in the wheels.
“Mr. President of the Republic, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche, filed a complaint concerning Tunisia’s participation in an international and social competition organized for the first time by the African Football Confederation.
The following accusations were brought against me:
Illegal seizure and assignment of the CAF transfer to Tunisian schools.
Falsification of documents.
Breakdown of trust for non -distribution of 1000 balloons and 300 bibs in Tunisian schools.
The situation is as follows:
The CAF did not transfer any funds to the benefit of Tunisian schools, which confirms the correspondence received from the African Confederation. The CAF will not transfer any sum to any African Federation because it has decided to deal directly with the suppliers.
There is no falsified document bearing my name or signature, nor any correspondence, whatever nature, paper, electronic or other, issued by me or coming from me.
Regarding the breach of trust linked to the 1000 balloons and 300 bibs offered by CAF, I confirm that CAF sent to the FTF, and not to schools, a donation of 1000 balloons and 300 bibs, and the president of the FTF has no relationship or written trace as to this gift has been received, stored or distributed, which is proven by all administrative documents.
Etc… “
