Two Liverpool supporters committed suicide, the newspaper L’Equipe reported last night.
Two victims of incidents in the Champions League final at the Stade de France committed suicide
These two supporters who had already witnessed the drama of Hillsborough in 1989, were present in the incidents of the last C1 final at the Stade de France between Liverpool and Real Madrid (0-1) marked by serious overflows on May 28.
The first 52 -year -old supporter ended his days only one week after the final while the other man of 63 died last week, reveals the team. “There is no doubt that, if they committed this irreparable act, it is because the last final of the Champions League has reactivated in them the trauma of 1989, that they thought they had exceeded” reveals Peter Scarfe, president of the group of survivors of the tragedy of Hillsborough, to the team.
As a reminder, on April 15, 1989, during a semi-final of FA Cup opposing Liverpool to Nottingham Forrest, disputed in the Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield, 96 fans of the Reds, including children, died crushed, taken in violent crowd movements.
