The U20 national selection finally qualified in the round of 16 of the Argentinian World Cup despite its defeat, last night against Uruguay.
Tunisia was beaten by Uruguay 0-1 following a penalty registered in the 92nd minute by Franco Gonzalez in a match in Lepe or Double, the Tunisians and the Uruguayans being concerned by second qualifying place in the round of 16 in this group E.
In a match totally dominated by the South Americans, Tunisia resisted but could not avoid defeat, ending this first round with 3 points on the clock (+1).
She therefore had to wait for the result of the group F between France and Honduras to find out if she was going to be one of the top three thirds among the six groups of the World Cup.
As such, France should not beat Honduras by more than two goals apart. The French finally imposed themselves 3-1, leaving the field open to Tunisia, which qualified as the last best third.
Ranking of the best third:
Nigeria 6 pts (+1)
New Zealand 4 pts (-4)
Slovakia 3 pts (+1)
Tunisia 3 pts (+1)
