The Tunisia Handball selection won yesterday the president of the President’s Cup at the expense of Chile on the score of 38-26 (24-10), in the Orlen room in Plock, Poland and thus finished in the 25th place in the Handball World Cup.
Eliminated in the first round, the Tunisian handball selection had ranked 4th place in the group H after a draw with the Bahrain (27-27) and two defeats against Belgium (29-31) and Denmark (21-34), to then compete in the president’s cup.
During this tournament used to determine the classification of 25 to 32, the protégés of Patrick Cazal won all their matches of the group II against Morocco (30-25), the Macedonia of the North (33-28) and Algeria (30-25) to finish at the top of their group and compete “the final” against the Chile, group I.
During the last edition of the World Cup, disputed in Egypt in 2021, Tunisia also ranked 25th out of 32 participants.
