The 26th edition of the African Handball Nations Cup, scheduled for January 17 to 27 in Cairo (Egypt), starts with the participation of 16 selections including Tunisia.
Tunisia will evolve in group D alongside Kenya, Nigeria and Angola. The Cairote meeting records the participation of Egypt (host country and double holder of the trophy), Guinea, Cameroon, Congo, Cape Verde, vice-champion of the last edition, DR Congo, Zambia, Rwanda, Algeria, Gabon, Morocco and Libya.
The first two of each pool will qualify for the quarter -finals. The 3rd and 4th will compete in the president’s cup and the sacred team during this African handball championship will qualify directly at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, while the loser of the final will play a qualifying tournament next March.
In addition, the first five will represent the African continent at the 2025 World Cup planned in Croatia, Denmark and Norway.
