The Tunisian Football Federation announced Friday that eight players will not participate in the Tunisia-Brazil friendly match scheduled for November 18 at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille (8:30 p.m.).
These absences, due to difficulties in obtaining visas, affect several key holders. The meeting is part of the preparation of the Carthage Eagles for the 2025 Arab Cup and the 2025–2026 African Cup of Nations.
Packages linked to administrative problems
The national coach, Sami Trabelsi, confirmed that the eight players selected for this package are: Mohamed Amine Ben Hamida, Ali Maâloul, Hamza Jelassi, Chiheb Jebali, Oussama Haddadi, Mahmoud Gharbel, Issam Jebali and Mohamed Ben Ali.
These absences come after two friendly matches played this week at the Hammadi Agrebi stadium in Radès: a 1-1 draw against Mauritania and a 3-2 victory against Jordan.
The match against Brazil constitutes a preparatory stage before two important events, the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, from December 1 to 18; and the African Cup of Nations in Morocco, from December 21 to January 18.
Despite the absences, the Tunisian selection remains focused on the integration and cohesion of the team with a view to these competitions.
