The criminal chamber of the Court of Cassation canceled the decision of the accusation chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal, who had ordered the dismissal of the former president of the Tunisian Football Federation, Wadii Jari, before the criminal chamber of the Tunis court of first instance.
The Court also rejected the initial refusal of release, deciding to return the case to a new composition of the accusation chamber for re -examination.
This decision comes after the investigating judge at the Tunis court of first instance issued a warrant for Jari, as part of an investigation relating to his mandate at the head of the FTF.
As a reminder, Wadii Jary was sentenced to four years in prison by the criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance, on February 20 for accusations linked to the excessive use of his position as a public official, in order to obtain industrial advantages for himself or for other people.
