The only Tunisian club committed to the African female club African championship, the CF Carthage could not go to the end of the adventure that stopped in the semi-finals.
The Carthaginians had no problems qualifying in the second round making a rider alone during the first phase. Then serious things started.
In the round of 16, the CF Carthage dominated the Co Descartes on Thursday (Côte d’Ivoire) and composted its ticket for the quarter-finals by winning on the score of 3 sets at 1 (25-12, 25-7, 25-9).
Friday, the volleyball players of the CF Carthage qualified for the semi-finals thanks to their victory against the APR Rwanda 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-16).
But they had to bow, Saturday in front of the Kenyans of Pipeline 3-2 (25-18, 25-27, 23-25, 25-23, 9-15), in the semi-final disputed in the Nabeul room.
The Tunisian representative will now play the match for third place against MC Algiers, while the final will oppose pipeline to the Zamalek of Egypt who qualified at the expense of the Algerians.
