Back on the final of the Tunisia Handball Cup between Hope ST and the African Club. A final arrested after ten minutes of play and which has given way to incredible scenes of violence and clashes.
On the sidelines of this chaotic final, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced that all the necessary measures will be taken in order to prevent such acts to be renewed.
An urgent meeting is held this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, chaired by Minister Kamel Deguiche, in the presence of senior officials and the president of the Management Committee of the Tunisian Handball Federation, Youssef Kortobi.
In a declaration on Mosaique FM radio, Tarek Ferjaoui, director of the National Sports City of Radès said that “the events occurred yesterday, during the handball derby were no coincidence”.
“What happened during the final of the Cup, between the African Club and the Sports Es tunis was planned,” he said, thus leaving doubt about what really happened.
For his part, Kamel Deguiche revealed today that he had been informed of possible threats concerning acts of violence, during the final of the Tunisia of Handball, specifying that “the match could not be postponed on this information,” he said.
About the threat of closed doors hovering over all the sports competitions following yesterday’s incidents, he rejected this idea, whatever the results of the survey that was opened.
