Paris joins the French cities which will boycott the Qatar World Cup, in a local decision which undermines the position of the host country which is experiencing foreign pressure in particular on the issue of workers’ rights.
The city of Paris will not install any giant screen and will not broadcast the matches of the 2022 World Cup, disputed from November 20 to December 18 in Qatar.
The French capital joins the slingshot led by several cities against the competition organized in the country of the Gulf.
After Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Lille or Marseille, it is now the turn of the French capital to say no to this international competition.
Despite the situation of Paris Saint-Germain, ownership of Qatar, the tricolor capital therefore refuses to participate in the promotion of the 2022 World Cup.
