The El-Menzah stadium will be ready in November 2024, announced Kamel Deguiche thereby denying rumors that the work is stopped.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche, intervened this Mosaique FM Mosaique on Monday, September 25, 2023 to clarify the situation as to the information that the renovation of the El-Menzah Olympic stadium is suspended.
He said that his department had to face administrative constraints, especially as the project is managed by the Ministry of Equipment and that of Youth and Sports, but that they were overcome.
The Minister stressed that the work is progressing at a satisfactory pace and that the El-Menzah stadium will be operational from November 2024.
The renovation project of the El Menzah Olympic stadium, which dates from 1967, was started on June 10, 2022 for an envelope of 100 million dinars.
The work undertaken concerns the development of spaces in the lower area of the stands, the installation of the new stands and the consolidation of the stadium structure, in addition to the installation of the metal structures and the overhaul of the changing rooms.
