Expeditious, today facing her first opponent, our tennis champion, Ons Jabeur, has brilliantly qualified in the 2nd round of the Wimbledon tournament.
After easily winning his first match against Swedish Mirjam Björklund in two sets (6-1, 6-3) in 53 minutes, Ons Jabeur, seeded number 3 and world number 2, will face Polish Katarzyna Kawa (132nd) on Wednesday in the 2nd round.
The latter eliminated, today, the Canadian Rebecca Marino (104th) in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 7-5).
The two players have already faced each other twice in the past. The first time dates back to 2014 to the Tunis Open. Ons Jabeur had won in the 2nd round.
She then found themselves in the 1st round of the US Open in 2020. Ons Jabeur had again taken over her opponent.
