Tunisian tenniswoman, Ons Jabeur (2nd in the world ranking) faces tomorrow, Thursday, January 19, 2023, the Czech Marketa Vondrousova (86th) as part of the 2nd round of the Australian Open.
The two players clashed four times in the past with an advantage for the Tunisian, Ons Jabeur having won three times in Sunrise in 2016, Eastbourne in 2021 and Stuttgart in 2022. Marketa Vondrousova won only once, in Prague in 2015.
Ons Jabeur won yesterday in pain, in three sets, against Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (88th in the WTA ranking) during the first round.
The Jabeur – Vondrousova meeting will take place tomorrow at 11:00 am and will be broadcast on Eurosport.
