Ons Jabeur (WTA 10) was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham, in a meeting marked by several interruptions due to the rain.
The Tunisian player, seeded n ° 1, lost to the Czech Karolina Pliskova, ranked 50th in the world, after a 2 hour and 39-minute match (6-7, 7-6, 5-7).
Jabeur had however started the meeting well by leading 6-5 in the first set, but ended up losing 7-6 (10-8). The Tunisian then dominated the second set 7-6, before Pliskova took the advantage in the third set 5-7.
