Ons Jabeur qualified in the second round of the simple ladies of Roland Garros, beating, today the Italian, Lucia Bronzetti.
The Tunisian tenniswoman, 7th in the world and designated the head of number 7 in Roland Garros, beat his opponent, 65th in the WTA ranking, in two sets (6-4, 6-1).
Ons Jabeur started his match in force, leading up to 5 games at 1 in the first set, but the Italian, haloed by his first WTA title in Rabat last week, was able to return to 4-5. It was finally ons Jabeur who snatches this first set (6-4).
In the second set, the Tunisian unrolled leaving no respite to Lucia Bronzetti by leading 5-0 then by immersing herself in the end 6-1.
In the second round, Ons Jabeur will face the winner of the French duel between Oceane Dodin (122nd) and Selena Janicijevic (179th).
The Tunisian is in the first half of the table led by Swiatek (possible opponent in the semi-finals) and where Rybakina, Gauff, Haddad Maia, Kuermetova, Azerenka and Alexandrova are located.
