Firas Kattoussi won 2-0 against Iranian Mehran Barkhordari, ranked 8th in the world.
Kattoussi’s journey in this competition was marked by successive victories, notably against the Australian Leon Siranovic (2-0) and the Danish Eddy Hrnic (2-0).
With this new medal, Tunisia brings the number of its medals to the summer games to three, after the money from Farès Ferjani in fencing and the bronze of Khalil Jendoubi in Taekwondo.
