The Tunisian Taekwondoist Firas Kattoussi managed this Friday, August 9, to qualify for the Taekwondo final in the less than 80 kg category during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Firas Kattoussi will be opposed to the Iranian Mehran Barkhordari, ranked 8th in the world. The final will take place this evening at 8:37 p.m. Tunis hour.
Kattoussi’s journey in this competition was marked by successive victories, notably against the Australian Leon Siranovic (2-0) and the Danish Eddy Hrnic (2-0). Now, he targets gold, which would be the third medal for Tunisia, after the money of Farès Ferjani in fencing and the bronze of Khalil Jendoubi in Taekwondo.
