The electoral appeal commission decided to annul the results of the elective general assembly of the National Professional Football League, putting an end to the election of Walid Ben Mohamed as president of the body.
An election invalidated after appeal
The elective general assembly, held on December 20, confirmed the victory of the list led by Walid Ben Mohamed, coming in first ahead of those of Oukail Ben Hassine and Hassan Zayene. However, the regularity of the electoral process was contested by the Oukail Ben Hassine list, which lodged an official appeal.
After examining the file and the arguments put forward, the electoral appeal commission ruled in favor of the pure and simple annulment of the results of this assembly. The decision thus invalidates the entire vote and the choices resulting from the vote.
Towards a new general assembly
The commission therefore called for the convening of a new elective general assembly in order to proceed with the election of a new office of the National Professional Football League. The modalities and timetable for this new election will have to be determined subsequently by the competent authorities.
