On the sidelines of the last day of the Playout, which condemned ES Métlaoui and ES Zarzis to relegation in Ligue 2, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) decided to open an investigation.
Indeed, the meeting disputed yesterday between ES Zarzis and ES Hammam-Sousse (1-1) has caused a lot of ink to flow, pushing the FTF to seize the commissions of ethics, discipline and arbitration of FIFA to ask them to intervene in this case. The FTF also called on its ethics committee and justice.
Before the matches of this 6th and last day, four teams, Olympique de Béja, ES Hammam-Sousse, ES Métlaoui and ES Zarzis, were affected by relegation knowing that a victory or a zero result were sufficient for the OB and the ESHS. As for ES Métlaoui and ES Zarzis, they did not have their destiny in their hands.
The scenario was favorable to the ESM and the OB at the time when the ESZ led to the eSHS 1-0. But at the 100 ‘, Mossaab Sassi equalized in favor of the Sahelians, thus ensuring the place of his team in Ligue 1 while sending the ESM in Ligue 2 whose maintenance was conditioned on a defeat of the Eshs in Zarzis.
An amateur video shows that the goal of equalization of the eSHS was scored in unusual conditions, with Zarzissian players, relegated whatever the result, having shown a blatant passivity. This sequence caused a large controversy.
To get back into the context, it must be remembered that last Thursday in Metlaoui, ESM beat ESZ (1-0) during a hit match which earned two players from the Hope of Zarzis, to be led to the police station after the meeting, following a complaint against them by a security agent, for verbal aggression.
