Ligue 1 – 13th day: Two tense derbies before the big shock of the weekend

The 13th day of Tunisian Ligue 1 ends this Thursday with a scent of rivalry in the air: two derbies in the capital on the program. Stade Tunisien welcomes Club Africain to HĂ©di Ennaifer, while Esperance de Tunis welcomes Jeunesse Sportive d’Omrane to RadĂšs. Two meetings at stake before the big Club Africain-EspĂ©rance derby scheduled for Sunday.

Stade Tunisien – Club Africain: battle for supremacy

At Bardo, tension will be maximum from 2:30 p.m. Stade Tunisien and Club Africain enter this duel perfectly tied in the standings (26 points each), just behind Esperance. The match promises to be close between two teams looking for redemption.

The African Club, held back last weekend by AS Soliman (1-1), wants to get back on the path to victory. But the numerous absences in the squad complicate the task of coach Faouzi Benzarti, forced to review his offensive system.

Opposite, Stade Tunisien, solid defensively but less inspired in front of goal, hopes to return to efficiency after a frustrating draw (0-0) against JS Omrane. A victory would be synonymous with symbolic revenge and local prestige.

EspĂ©rance de Tunis – JS Omrane: logic against surprise

In RadĂšs, the Blood and Gold want to continue their domination. Leaders of the championship with 27 points, Maher Kanzari’s men remain with a victory in Sfax (2-1). Facing JS Omrane, 9th with 16 points, the objective is clear: consolidate first place before facing Club Africain on Sunday.

JS Omrane, solid defensively, proved that it could stand up to the big guns, as evidenced by its draw against Stade Tunisien (0-0).

These two derbies promise spectacle and a fierce fight for the top of the rankings. The prize: valuable points and a question of honor in the capital.
