The Head of State insisted on the need to adapt the bill on sports structures to the country’s current requirements. He called for clear legislation, aligned with the desire for national reconstruction and the fight against corruption.
Criticizing the vagueness of the current system, neither totally amateur nor truly professional, the president pleaded for a reform which would make it possible to integrate small teams and guarantee equity in the development of sport.
Saied denounced the brokerage mechanisms and the “black market” which plague the sector, and which promote the proliferation of corrupt networks, calling for firm action against these drifts.
Referring to cases of voluntary dilapidation of sites such as the Olympic city of El Menzah, he warned against attempted assignments at low prices and underlined the importance of preserving the national sports heritage.
The president recalled the fundamental role of young people’s houses in the supervision and protection of new generations, and called for their revitalization to make them spaces of knowledge and sport again.
