The next general assembly of the Tunisian Football Federation, which was to be held on May 11, 2024, was canceled following the rejection of the two candidate lists, namely that of Jalel Tekaya and that of Zied Tlemçani.
The independent electoral committee of the Tunisian Football Federation rejected, this Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the two lists who had candidates for the president of the football body.
The lists of Zied Tlemçani and Jalel Tekaya, do not meet the conditions mentioned in paragraph 1 of article 36 of the statutes of the Tunisian Football Federation, said the said committee today.
Zied Tlemçani and Jalel Ben Tekaya can still appeal this decision knowing that the appeal committee decided last Sunday, to definitively reject the appeal presented by Wassef Jelil against the decision of the Electoral Committee to withdraw his list of the race for the presidency of the FTF.
On May 11, the agenda was to be the election of the new federal office knowing that the FTF summoned an elective general assembly for the period 2024-2028 while the mandate of the current office, arrives and its president Wadii Jary has been incarcerated since October 25, 2023.
