The next general assembly of the Tunisian Football Federation, which will be held on May 11, 2024, will see two lists opposing. The third, that of Wassef Jelil was rejected.
Finally, two lists will compete on May 11 to designate the successor of Wadii Jary at the head of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF). The holding of an elective general meeting will take place between Jalel Tekaya and Zied Tlemçani.
During this assembly, two lists will therefore participate in the election of the new federal office knowing that the FTF summoned an elective general assembly for the period 2024-2028 while the mandate of the current office, arrives and its president Wadii Jary has been incarcerated since October 25, 2023.
The list of Jalel Tekaya, former member of the FTF, is made up of Mohamed Hichem Dhib, Chafik Jarraya, Bilel Jemi, Mohamed Sofiene Salem, Zied Hamdi, Chamseddine Euhu, Hanene Sellini, Nihed Ben Hamida, Slim Khedher, Mohamed Hassani and Dhafer Lassoued.
The list of Zied Tlemçani, former footballer, is made up of Bilel Foudhaili, Fatma Fourati, Lotfi Khemiri, Khaled Badra, Faouzi Rouissi, Amir Hizem, Mahmoud Abboud, Youssef Mhamdi, Mohamed Habib Mekdad, Habib Chairi and Lazhar Ben Hariz.
During his meeting, held this Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the independent electoral commission of the FTF validated the lists of Jalel Tekaya and Zied Tlemçani. She rejected the list of Wassef Jelil, current president of the acting FTF because she does not comply with the regulations.
It should be noted the Wassef Jelil’s list can appeal to the National Appeal Commission, in accordance with the statutes of the Federation.
