After the withdrawal of Wissem Letaif from the electoral race, two candidates will compete for the presidency of the next federal office on March 9, namely: Maher Ben Aissa and Jalel Tekaya.

The candidacy of Jalel Tekaya was retained this Tuesday, February 20, by the independent body for the elections of the Tunisian Football Federation.

While the candidate Wissem Letaief announced on his official Facebook page the withdrawal of his list of the electoral race, a few minutes before the end of the period granted by the electoral commission to his list to complete the missing documents of the file. This decision was made due to the absence of the number three bulletin of one of the members of the list, which would result in the rejection of the list by the electoral commission.

In the end, only two applications were selected: those of Maher Ben Aissa and Jalel Tekaya. Both will compete in the elections for the new federal office, scheduled for next Saturday, March 9.
