The president of the International Football Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, announced this Friday, December 16, 2022 in Doha, that from 2025, the Club World Cup will be held with 32 teams.
“As early as 2025, the Club World Cup will take place every four years and will be played with thirty-two teams,” he said, adding that the competition will be held in the same format as the World Cup.
A little earlier, he also announced that the next edition of the Club World Cup will be held in Morocco, next February with the participation of seven teams.
